Is It A DMS?

Normfall Manager is not a DMS! But for many purposes, it's actually better than a DMS, because it's user-centric, bureaucracy-free and easy to administer. We are even planning for integration with existing DMS to build a personal document management on top of the organization-level document management.

Structuring Information - Outliner

Structuring tasks that are almost unthinkable with paper can be carried out with a few clicks of the mouse.
To use Normfall Manager you won't need any special training. Learning to "play" with the structure tree is a matter of a few minutes. The process of editing your structure tree corresponds to your intuitively customary way of dealing with abstract and concrete ideas. Normfall Manager is adapted to you. It doesn't require you to adapt yourself to it.

Gaining Control over Complexity

It's common knowledge that complexity overburdens people. We can tell stories without any problems but we have a difficult time dealing with objects

Making Files Directly Accessible

Most people use an E-Mail client as well as a file system (hard disk, file server). These are two completely disparate repositories, even though they contain information that may be closely linked. The consequences are detrimental. When, for example, a letter is written in Word and an answer arrives in Outlook, both files are stored in different locations although their contents belong together. The result is a mess of file confusion.

With Normfall Manager 4 you can work with all common file types jointly and organize them using a uniform interface. The Normfall structure acts as a quick and secure key that guides you directly to the desired position within files. Within seconds you can call up the desired file on your screen to the exact location required, even when dealing with a very large number of files. You of course have the "classic" option of a full-text search not only in Normfall Manager, but also in all attached files.

Creating Texts

Texts not only convince your readers due to their content but also and most importantly due to a good structure. "In man," Egon Friedell wrote, "lives a deep will to divide; he has an intense, even passionate, desire to differentiate between things, to enclose and label things... we admire men... due to the degree of their ability to assign things to levels, structure and distinguish between things... Dante's fame as a poet was partially due to his ability to make the mysterious world of the beyond transparent and comprehensible by dismantling it into clear spheres." We're not Dante, but a good text structure is also possible for us.

Modern text processing programs can help you with this task. Normfall Manager 4 offers you more. Using it allows you to write a text structured in sections and to "play" with the structure until it and all details belonging to it are exactly as you imagine them to be. You can for example convert a main chapter to a subchapter, rearrange individual sections or insert new chapters. When doing so you will always retain an overview of the entire text, even if it extremely substantial. With a click of the mouse you can then create a complete text in structured form.

This also works the other way around. You can convert another text into a Normfall structure with a click of the mouse and by doing so make its structure clear and manageable.
